What to Expect

Students in 6–12th Grade at Local Church Milton have a very unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of building a new ministry that will reach dozens and hundreds of students for Christ in the months and years ahead.

Students

If you’re excited about making an impact, you’ll have the chance to do just that as a first-year participant. Joining from the onset offers a unique opportunity to be part of something from the beginning.

Parents

If you want to see your student grow in faith consider this: Nothing grows faith more quickly or more deeply than taking ownership in a newly forming ministry.

As the ministry grows into a weekly gathering, we will host several bible studies, service projects, and outreach events throughout the year.

Bible Studies

Join us on Sundays at 4:30 a.m., now through March 23, as we follow along with the message series and look at the passages only found in the book of Mark.

Each week, the location will be at a different student’s (or student leader’s) house. Text your contact info to Jody Glude (770-841-6541) to stay in the loop.

FAQ

Have some questions about Local Church for 6–8th graders? These may help you!

Students should stop by our check-in desk inside the Student room when they arrive. This allows us to greet and get to know them.

Before the service starts, students can enjoy pre-service fun and hangout time. This includes outdoor games on the turf, shooting hoops on the outdoor basketball court, or being inside with video and card games. There are also plenty of couches and tables to hang out and socialize with friends and leaders.

We recommend that parents and students have a plan for reconnection after the service. Parents can either come to the Student Room to pick up their students, or they may decide to meet inside the church lobby or at a courtyard for a convenient and seamless reunion.

What to Expect

Every Sunday night, join us for an engaging and exciting youth meeting. Our doors open at 5:45 p.m., giving you the opportunity to arrive early and catch up with friends. At 6:15 p.m., the main service and Small Groups begin, giving a wonderful opportunity for faith-based learning and conversation. Our meeting will end at 7:30 p.m.

Our Sunday night service includes live teaching, the opportunity to connect with peers in Small Groups, and a delicious meal. Most importantly, it is a time for making new friends and cultivating a strong feeling of community.

We invite those who attend our Sunday morning services to consider assisting with Local Kids or Middle School. It’s a satisfying way to give back to the community and make a difference.
